Richard F. Hayes — Partner

Richard has over 30 years of public accounting experience. His areas of expertise include real estate, construction, hospitality, professional service businesses, aesthetic medical and general business. Richard & Renee Varga formally merged their boutique firm with MKA in November 2019. This merger was truly a union of strengths.

If we had to sum up Richard’s philosophy about managing a public accounting firm it would read: “Let’s go lite on marketing and focus on client service! If we take care of our existing clients, they will provide all the new business we need.”

Richard’s role at the firm and with clients is advisory. He utilizes his experience in public accounting and as an entrepreneur to assist clients with tax planning and structuring as well as financial decisions. Richard also spends his time seeking the latest in tax reduction strategies.

Previous firm experience includes 8 years at Clifton Larson Allen, and 25 years as founder, and later, partner in a boutique firm. Richard also has hands on experience as an entrepreneur, having been involved as a shareholder in several start-up businesses and has also acted as CFO for other businesses.
