Herbert Spahn III – Tax Partner

Herb has been practicing public accounting over the lifetime of his career with a wealth of knowledge that only experience brings. He possesses an affinity towards individual and trust taxation, trust accounting, and foreign investment in US real estate.  He has represented numerous taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service and the Florida Department of Revenue.  Herb has also been featured in CPA Today for his examination of the Portfolio Interest Exemption from Income Tax Withholding.

Herb was born in New York and upon relocating to Florida with his family, he graduated from Miami Edison Senior High School. He continued his studies at the University of Florida.  Herb successfully passed the CPA exam licensing him in the State of Florida in 1982.  He serves an extensive client base and maintains a strong commitment to providing superior service to all.

Herb has two adult children (Amanda and Daniel) that he enjoys spending time with.  He proudly maintains a single digit handicap in golf.  The golf course is his ideal form of relaxation and he quite enjoys traveling to world class golfing venues like those found in Pebble Beach, Pinehurst, Ireland, and Scotland.
