W. Ed Moss Jr. – National M&A Director & SE Regional Leader

Ed is the founding partner and Southeast Regional Leader of MKA, a Richey May company. With more than 35 years of experience, Ed has advised and consulted with small businesses across a wide range of industries, with a particular focus on assurance and advisory services for construction and development companies, nonprofit organizations, restaurants, and other closely held businesses.

Ed also serves as the National Director of Mergers & Acquisitions for Richey May, where he focuses on identifying, executing, and integrating firms that align with the organization’s vision and values. Throughout his career, Ed has led more than 35 acquisitions from initial discussions through successful integration. He believes the key to a successful acquisition is maintaining strong client relationships, supporting employees, preserving company culture, and thoughtfully integrating technology, marketing, and internal processes.

As a recognized leader in accounting industry M&A and private equity, Ed regularly shares his experience and perspective with other accounting professionals and business leaders. He has presented on private equity, M&A, firm valuations, deal structures, and post-transaction integration at industry events including the BDO Alliance USA Conference, AICPA ENGAGE, and the University of Central Florida (UCF). His presentations draw on his firsthand experience navigating the evolving landscape of accounting firm consolidation and private equity investment.

A native of Kentucky, Ed is the father of three daughters: Mya, Macy, and Mika. Ed enjoys boating, college football, Orlando Magic games, and traveling. He has traveled to every continent and visited each of the world’s natural wonders, with no plans to slow down anytime soon.
